RC: What are the club’s ambitions for the next five years?
RD: My ambitions for the club in the next 5 years are to
1. Set up a youth team for both boys and girls.
2. Continue promotion through the leagues
3. Improve our facilities which are very dated, new showers
floodlights etc.
4. Improve and expand the backroom staff, the more help we
get the better
5. Continue to make sure the social side of the club matches
the rugby, PLENTY OF FUN
6. Continue to improve the coaching
It’s a long road but we have the building blocks now to really
have a go at going as high as we can in the WRU leagues. I
will continue to help out whether its playing or in my role as
Team Manager.

“I moved to the area in my late teens and now
live around five miles away. I played school
rugby and then started my business Welsh
Coast Custom who are a current club sponsor.
I don’t get down to the club as often as I would
like but gets regular feedback from my friends
and it’s great to see the lads doing so well.
My wife, Charmaine and I would like to wish
everyone at the club continued success.”

“I first became involved in the club in the 1980s when I went along with friends to the club. At the time I worked away a
lot and therefore played mainly for the 2nds in the front row. I continued playing up until work and family commitments
just wouldn’t allow me to continue without something giving.
Additionally, running a traffic management business many clients preferred training on a Saturday or Sunday which
hampered playing times, starting training courses early sometimes allowed me to get away.
I can’t speak highly enough about
the people who have stood by
the club and do so much work
behind the scenes including the
likes of Ryan Draper. The club
has a really good mix of young
and old at the moment.
We offer a full and comprehensive set of
training courses

My business Phase One Traffic

sponsors and like to help out
when we can. There is no reason
why the club can’t gain promotion
this season and enjoy their
planned tour to Bournemouth.
Best wishes to everyone at the
club on such a fantastic season.”
