We cut mark and maintain our pitches although they are owned by the council .
“ The biggest challenge for us over the next five years is to ensure a steady stream of youth coming into the club competing as we do against many other sports on the Island , particularly soccer .
“ One of our ambitions over the next five years is to attract players from off of the Island to come to us which should help us to be successful . Our ambitions over the next five years will be to play the best rugby we can and for our players to enjoy the rugby they are playing and for this to reflect in the social life of the club .”
There is clearly plenty of optimism at Canvey Island RUFC ahead of the new campaign and the hard work being done at present should enable them to look forward to a bright and successful future .
