Where The Light Falls by Katherine Keenum
I have been in love with Paris for as long as I can remember. This novel is such a great read because it is set in the heart of Paris after the American Civil War. It’s a love story told about the aftermath of the war.
-Read this if you want to fall in love in Paris with a wounded, veteran who survived the Civil War at a tender age. Addiction, love and struggles are deeply detailed in the novel and I think it makes for such a great read!
Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
I exceedingly enjoyed this novel. It’s easy to see why so many women have added this book to their shelf. It’s a great, motivating read.
Read this if you are on a journey of self-discovery or if you are seeking an adventure in Europe and Asia. This book is a modern day, feel good read of heart, romance and discovering one's self.
A Dog Named Boo by Lisa J. Edwards
I will admit I am a dog lover, but I only have one. When Harlequin Publishing first presented me with this novel to review I was a little worried. I usually don't read many animal books or watch too many animal films because I end up in tears over the sad endings. (Old Yeller is just one example.) Still, I sucked it up and read the novel and fell in love with Boo, the main character of the book. I can relate to author Lisa J. Edwards's work because my dog Max came into my life as a rescue. What I didn't know at the time was just how much I needed him. I thought I was doing Max the favor, but in return it was just the opposite.
Read this whether or not you consider yourself a dog lover. This story is about understanding, love and forgiveness. It’s a journey of sorrow and happiness that will leave your soul warmed upon completion.
When not spoiling her Jack Russell, Max, Tracy Adams can be found reviewing for Night Owl Reviews, working on her next manuscript, and feeding her Fitzgerald addiction..
