(a) At the beginning of the row, place the
tip of the right hand needle into the
first stitch and lay the old colour over
the new. Continue to work with the
new colour. When working stripes with an odd
number of rows, use a double pointed
or circular needle. When it’s time to
introduce the new colour, slide the
stitches along the needle to the opposite
end, where the working end of the new
colour is waiting, and start working in
that colour.
(b) By catching the yarn at the beginning
of every alternate row, the old colour
will travel up the WS edge of the
work.
