Sight-seeing of the peaceful, lovely, enchanting big city of Dar as Salaam that harbours the enjoyable Indian Ocean, Kunduchi beach. A few of us who used modest means of transport managed to delightfully navigate East African cities and boarders. We experienced different weather conditions and stop overs, despite the journey being hectic, it was memorable. Thanks to the amazing transport team headed by Ken Wabuteya and Godfrey Busingye. Some of the notes carried from the message shared by outstanding speakers that graced our conference at Julius Nyerere Conference centre were; Fatima Ali Muhammed (mentorship speaker- GHANA) she appreciated Rotary for the amazing selfless change and difference we have brought to our communities. She encouraged us to be proud of the brand and improve on its awareness to the public through our social media platforms, websites and uniform attire. Mustapha Rahma (9 years-student Tanzania) He equated real life experiences to the Rotary four way test; He raised concern that most of the time we spend many hours on our phones and our computers at work. He also raised some questions and points for us to think about; Is it the truth? Do you spend the right time on social media platforms bearing in mind other activities of the day? Is it fair to all concerned? The time accorded to our phones and social media platforms is it fair to the time provided to other people we stay with and our academics? Will it bring goodwill and better friendship? We need to utilise the social media platforms to create developmental healthy relationships that help us better our lives. Will it beneficial to all concerned? The time we spend on our phones we to we utilise it to economically socially help each other example we can use these platforms create awareness of our Rotary clubs businesses and many others. Major aspect help each other be better. I appreciate the team that worked tirelessly to put the event together hence a success.
