15 2. CPR/AED Classes American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED classes are offered twice a year to residents and employees at Rosedale. The RHC subsidizes these classes so that the fee is kept low. Renewal of skills is recommended every two years. In Addendum C see the attached list for your association of those who have completed the CPR/AED course and are current in their certification so residents may know who are nearby trained responders. 3. Procedure to Follow with Cardiac Arrest If a person at Rosedale suddenly collapses, follow these steps:  Check that the victim is unresponsive and not breathing.  If alone, call 911 and call a trained neighbor who can retrieve the AED. Then start CPR if the victim is not breathing. If others are nearby, rescuer #1 should start CPR while others call 911 and retrieve an AED.  If responders are not trained, the emergency dispatcher may be able to instruct in “compression only CPR” over the phone. Place the phone close to the victim and turn onto speaker.  When a Rosedale AED arrives, a trained resident or employee should attach the pads to the victim’s chest and follow the verbal instructions.  Send a person outside the building or to the road in order to flag the EMS. Residents are asked to carry their cell phones with them and to program in the telephone numbers for requesting an AED at Rosedale. G. Summary of Rosedale Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&R’s) The following is intended as a short guide only. The complete RMHA Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions contains full details and shall be the final authority for homeowners (http://rosedalehc.org/ under the Documents link) 1. Residential Use Only The lots are for single family residential use only and for no other purpose. This does not prohibit maintaining an office within the residence so long as there is no appearance of business activity such as customer, vendor, pick-up or delivery traffic, etc. 2. Garages Garage doors must be closed when not in use. Garage windows facing the street must have internal window treatments similar to other window treatments in the home. 3. Antennae Any satellite dish should be placed below the roof line and not visible from the front of the house as the signal permits. No aerials/antennas can protrude beyond the exterior of the residence.
