In 2015, he graduated with his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and achieved Griffith University’s top award of Academic Excellence. SCOTT MACDONALD Upon graduation, Scott was introduced to the insurance world and spent a year and a half with Wedgwood Insurance in progressively digital roles for personal and commercial lines. Scott decided to join our team in January of this year as Digital Implementation Specialist where he will be leading the digital evolution and advancement of our business into the future. While Scott may be a rookie to the insurance business, he is no stranger to risk, having survived Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, and swimming with Great White Sharks in the Great Barrier Reef. He probably has a slightly different view of risk than most in the industry! + T om Byrne joined us in September 2016 after 33 years in the Hospitality and Food Industry. For the past 16 years, Tom was an entrepreneur who owned and managed several restaurant operations. He hired well over 1,000 people, from kitchen staff to managers to service professionals. Tom comes from a family tree built around sales. His father, the late Tom Byrne, created one of the earliest and most successful real estate firms — Byrne’s Real Estate — in the 1960s, before the arrival of the global giants. While Tom’s natural career path was real estate, he was always curious about insurance and decided this was the path he wanted to pursue for ‘Act Two’ of his life. This allows him to build upon his relationships and also spend time with his young family. TOM BYRNE 6 Tom and his wife, Jo-Ann, enjoy giving back to the community and spending time coaching sports. They have two children, Rhys and Thomas. You can reach Tom at (709) 576-1621 or tbyrne@callegrow.com. +
