Fredericton Community Foundation
The Bridge Between Caring Donors & Causes That Matter
Founded in 1956, the Fredericton Community Foundation is an organization focused on enhancing and strengthening the lives of citizens in the greater Fredericton region. In order to reach that end, it takes a proactive role in both community leadership and the development and stewardship of endowed funds. Ultimately, they are a vital link between donors and the current needs and interests of the community as a whole. Through the management of funds, local charities can be supported, be it local youth summer camps, shelters, or service charities. The Foundation emphasizes the phrase“ It’ s all good!” to describe the work it does. Why? Because they fund good, start good, and grow good in all of their actions.
The Foundation accomplishes most of its work through monetary donations that it receives from donors. It focuses those funds on areas that are important to the community. Grants are provided to over one hundred charitable organizations in Fredericton, funding everything from educational resources to health and social programs. They are also used to fund cultural programs such as theatre performances, music festivals, and education in the visual arts.
Five funds are currently available for donors to tailor donations to their individual interests:
