ANNELIESE KLENETSKY COUNTESS CEPRANO
Praised for her“ distinct canvas of vocal colors,” soprano Anneliese Klenetsky is a Cafritz Young Artist with Washington National Opera, where she has distinguished herself in a wide range of repertoire. In the 2025 – 26 season, she appeared as the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, Sarah Good / Ruth Putnam in The Crucible, and performed Musetta from La bohème. Additional engagements with the company include Lady-in-Waiting in Macbeth and Chrisann Brennan in The( R) evolution of Steve Jobs.
Ms. Klenetsky’ s operatic repertoire spans both lyric and dramatic works, including the Governess in The Turn of the Screw, Alcina in Alcina, and Ada in the West Coast premiere of Cold Mountain. She has also performed La Bergère / Un Pâtre in L’ enfant et les sortilèges, demonstrating versatility across stylistic periods and languages.
A compelling concert artist, she has appeared as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, Ravinia Festival, and Alice Tully Hall, with repertoire ranging from Baroque masterworks to contemporary compositions, and was selected to participate in Renée Fleming’ s SongStudio at Carnegie Hall. Most recently, Ms. Klenetsky was seen as“ Sour Dulcina” in Suor Angelica with the National Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Klenetsky’ s artistry has been recognized by the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition and the Butler International Competition.
QUINN KELSEY RIGOLETTO
Baritone Quinn Kelsey is celebrated worldwide as an“ arresting artist”( The New York Times), and is known for his commanding stage presence, emotional depth, and rich, velvety voice. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Kelsey has risen to prominence for his interpretations of opera’ s most demanding roles and has been called“ the premier Verdi baritone of his generation”( Bachtrack).
Kelsey opens his 2025-26 season at Royal Ballet and Opera with Verdi’ s Les vêpres siciliennes, as Guy de Montfort. He returns to the Lyric Opera of Chicago as Alfio / Tonio in a Mascagni’ s Cavalleria rusticana and Leoncavallo’ s Pagliacci, and will bring his acclaimed Rigoletto to the Canadian Opera Company later this season. Kelsey will also return to The Metropolitan Opera in Puccini’ s Madama Butterfly. He makes his debut at The Royal Danish Opera, singing the title role in Verdi’ s Macbeth in concert with Sir Antonio Pappano. In the summer, he joins the Festival Napa Valley for the role of Bacchus in the world premiere of Jake Heggie’ s The Judgment of Paris.
Kelsey will also appear with his hometown opera company, Hawaii Opera Theatre, for the world premiere of Herb Mahelona’ s Kamalehua: The Sheltering Tree.
On the concert stage, Kelsey will join The Philadelphia Orchestra for Handel’ s Messiah, and Kelsey and pianist Craig Ketter will appear together in recital with the Cleveland Chamber Music Society and Vocal Arts DC, presenting a program that includes selections from Vaughan Williams’ Songs of Travel, Copland’ s Old American Songs, and Finzi’ s Let Us Garlands Bring.
