~ Share something you are passionate about.

My greatest passion is helping others, especially youth. I was a terrible student. I grew up believing I was dumb because I didn't do well in school yet once I found my genius (which everyone has) my life changed forever. Most of that came once I was willing to accept myself and quit trying to please everyone else. I learned to love myself and it wasn't until I focused on loving myself and changing the things I didn't that my world changed forever. “To thine own self be true.” A saying we try to live by in Alcoholics Anonymous that didn't really sink in until I had pushed away everyone that I actually cared about. I was forced to be by myself and learn to love the scared little boy inside my 31 year old body. I learned to be true to myself and what I stood for regardless of what others thought. Once I was able to do that, I could share all my failures without fear of judgment.  I learned that many others felt the same way and loved me regardless of my mistakes.

Never stop looking for answers or following your passion. You only get one life, so live it well!!

I played a crucial role in the development and implementation of Activity Based Therapy (ABRT) which became rehabilitation standard of care for quadriplegics, paraplegic and stroke patients.

I developed and patented the new phase of the currant Functional Electrical Stimulation. (FES) is now standard of care for individuals dealing with paralysis.
