Children ’ s Leader

Here is one testimony from a leader who was part of this wonderful experience , which was a day when many experienced the love and power of our amazing God for the first time !

Parent : What an amazing experience the encounter was for my son ! He said he “ felt God ’ s presence ”. He could not stop talking about the prayer and how something which he now realises was the Holy Spirit came over him and changed him . I am so thankful to God for what the children ’ s ministry team are doing for our kids ! Please continue to pray for them , as they go into the world may they be ambassadors for God ’ s kingdom in Jesus name . Amen .

Children ’ s leader volunteer : The CTFW encounter was so powerful , words cannot even begin to describe what took place over that weekend . The Lord went before us , and his presence was there from the outset . The Holy Spirit moved mightily throughout Saturday . The children opened up and shared some of the challenges they were facing at school and at home . Some talked about being bullied , struggles with being a Christian in school and general fear . In the evening God ’ s presence was overwhelming ; the children were worshipping God with songs of praise .

I saw children fall under the power of the Holy Spirit – no one laid hands on them . Some children started speaking in tongues for the first time , some had their hands raised high crying out to God . I saw children on their knees praying , there was a desire for more of God . I saw children being delivered from bondages of fear , hate , and pride . I saw children openly give their life to Christ . I saw real change in some of the young ones . There were two in particular who came with an attitude of indifference , and on Saturday they gave their lives to Christ . One of them asked if I could keep one of the worship songs on repeat – he had gone from not even wanting to be there to wanting to sing a song of praise to God . They were both filled with joy . They were excited . They became engaged and began to relate with the other children and the leaders . They were transformed .

On Sunday , the children shared their experiences with each other – how they felt whilst they were standing worshipping God , what they experienced when they were being prayed for . One of the children tried to explain what he felt , “ I couldn ’ t stand still , my legs were shaking , and I can ’ t explain what happened to me ”. Another said , “ I remember standing up being prayed for and then waking up on the floor and speaking in tongues for the first time ”. There was so much joy that day . God filled them with his joy . It was truly astonishing to see first-hand !

God moved in the encounter in a way I have never seen before , and my heart was overwhelmed . God is such a good Father . I saw how much he loves the young ones . I also saw what we had been praying for come to pass . All glory belongs to God for an amazing encounter !

Please pray for the children ’ s ministry that God ’ s plan and purpose for each child ’ s life will be fulfilled , and for all leaders to be strengthened and encouraged by God ’ s power for his work .

We have a full children ’ s program running alongside our 9am , 11am , 2.30pm & 6pm services every Sunday .
