Neurocognitive stimulation and learning of the ancestral language Kichwa
Abstract
This article is a work established in a Bilingual Intercultural Educational Institution in the rural area of Tungurahua , with the objective of carrying out a study , on the incidence of neurocognitive stimulation in preschool children of 3 , 4 years in the learning of Kichwa ancestral language , from a fundamental stage characterized by : synaptic pruning , neuronal interconnection , brain plasticity , important for learning a language . For the present investigation it was necessary to perform a comparative analysis of two groups of students , starting from a diagnostic assessment with the Kichwa Language Learning Assessment ( VALK ) matrix , and with a neurocognitive stimulation intervention process , the total sample was 40 among children in rural areas , segmented into two groups , of which 90 % of infants in the group with neurocognitive intervention showed progressive learning and the second group without intervention had a minimum degree of progression in learning the Kichwa language , which allows to explain in this investigation , how the process of intervention in neurocognitive stimulation aimed at promoting the learning of the ancestral language Kichwa .
