Abstract
The purpose of this essay, of a documentary nature, is to make an
approach to transdisciplinarity in university education as a process that
facilitates the overcoming of the fragmentary perspective presented by the way
of teaching and learning in the university. In this study, it is considered equally
important to approach the concepts of disciplinarity, interdisciplinarity,
multidisciplinarity and pluridisciplinarity as a preamble to the concept of
transdisciplinarity, in order to clarify these points and have a better perception
of the subject treated. It is considered that transdisciplinarity is the process that
promotes the emergence of new fields of knowledge from the dialogue of
disciplines. It is relevant to consider that the approach to transdisciplinarity
entails critical scenarios on the university campus where teachers and students
can act freely to express their questioning of the educational paradigms of
today.
