C olegio Los Nogales has embarked on a journey to explore the world through an internationalism project that seeks to offer access to global learning opportunities . Internationalism is the key that opens doors to global learning in our school and abroad to explore international perspectives , experience intercultural exchanges , and develop global citizenship skills . The goal of the school ’ s international programs is to encourage our community to appreciate and value the world ’ s diversity , which is one of the most important resources we have in the 21st century .

Our community can explore international perspectives through academic opportunities to learn about global issues and cultures across the curriculum as well as languages through the Colombian and Advanced Placement curricula . Our bilingual education and world languages programs prepare students to communicate and interact with people from other cultures . Projects with a global focus expose students to current issues and significant themes in different academic areas . The high school curriculum offers courses such as Current Events , World Religions , and Global Perspectives to motivate students to think critically about problems and issues at a global scale . Our curricula , language education programs , academic projects , and courses with a global focus are avenues to explore the world through different perspectives .
Our community can experience intercultural exchanges through virtual and experiential experiences . Experiences such as virtual field trips and study abroad programs promote intercultural interactions that prepare our students to communicate , serve , and lead in diverse environments . Interactions with people from other cultures help develop cultural awareness , intercultural understanding , and appreciation for different values , traditions , and beliefs . These experiences also promote global competence skills and knowledge , which are necessary to participate actively in an interconnected world . The Department of International Programs is expanding
