6 a 8 semanas para retoma do treino e de 12 semanas para retoma da atividade competitiva . O atleta não deve apresentar qualquer sintomatologia e a força muscular do membro superior deve estar recuperada . O surgimento de dor e / ou sinais inflamatórios exige a regressão da carga de treino ou pode condicionar mesmo uma nova paragem desportiva com reavaliação médica . Os fatores psicológicos devem ser tidos em conta , quando se fala em retorno à atividade desportiva . O programa de reabilitação facilita uma retoma mais rápida da prática desportiva .
