¿ Cuál es el clima actual de la importancia que le otorga el empresariado nacional a la seguridad de la cadena de suministro del país? La amenaza del narcotráfico, particularmente en nuestro país, está vigente y fuerte, además de otros riesgos latentes como la corrupción, el lavado de activos, contrabando, etc.
Es una preocupación mayor. Como ya expliqué, la inseguridad y el embotellamiento vehicular en el puerto del Callao es un asunto muy preocupante que genera sobrecostos. Es preocupante que se haya denunciado la infiltración de dinero del narcotráfico y otras actividades ilícitas en el financiamiento de campañas para la elección de alcaldes, gobernadores y candidatos presidenciales, e incluso la participación directa de miembros de mafias en las listas, de los cuales algunos posiblemente hayan sido elegidos.
El Lavado de Activos también es un asunto muy importante contra el que se puede combatir en paralelo. De esta forma, se dificulta la operación de mafias que actualmente pueden ocultar el dinero mal habido con facilidad, sobre todo en los rubros Servicios, Comercio y Construcción.

¿ Cómo se puede valorar el aporte de BASC PERÚ en el proceso de implementación de políticas de seguridad en las empresas de comercio exterior? ¿ Considera Ud. que la certificación BASC es un complemento al programa OEA de la OMA?
BASC ofrece la oportunidad de ser reconocidos de manera instantánea que los productos movilizados y la empresa que los transporta cumplen requisitos de seguridad y trazabilidad que garantizan la legalidad de las actividades y el respeto a la normativa.

As I mentioned earlier, the security and traffic jam in the port of Callao is a very worrying issue that generates cost overruns. It is disturbing that the infiltration of money from drug smuggling and other illegal activities have been used to finance election campaigns of majors, governors and presidential candidates, even worse to know that actual members of mafias have directly participated in the lists of candidates, and that even some of them have probably been elected.
Money laundering is also a very important issue that we can tackled. This will hinder the operation of mafias that, at present, can be hiding money from illegal activities without problems, especially in industries such as Services, Trade and Construction.
How can we value the contribution of BASC PERU in the process of implementation of security policies in international trading companies? Do you think that the BASC certification is a complement of the AEO program of the WCO?
