Nintendo's
superior sound processor makes
every
chainsaw, scream and menacing
musical number sound 16-bit perfect. And the
six-button SNES pad makes it that much easier
to change weapons and items on the fly why
slaying armies of the undead.
Super NES buries the competition
That's not to say the Genesis/Mega Drive
version is a bad game, because it's freaking
awesome. But you really need the six-button
controller to enjoy the game―without it, you're
forced to hold down A and tap B or C to cycle
your weapons or items, an utter nightmare
when you're neck-deep in giant ants. But the
simple truth is ZAMN looks, sounds and plays
better on Nintendo. If Sega's console is your
only option, then by all means, enjoy what it
has to offer. But if you have the choice, the
SNES version is the better bang for your buck.
