Regiment Application Selection Test ( RAST-R )
Once you have completed your Phase 1 training you will be tested in line with the role of Regiment Gunner . The rst test , the RAST-R , has 5 steps . This test is performed in sports kit and with the exception of the run is carried out in a gym . Each activity will be demonstrated however , no practice attempts are allowed .

After a 500m warm up you will run 2km across a course set outdoors at your best effort pace . * Extreme weather may change this to MSFT
From a seated position you will throw a 4kg medicine ball from chest level . You will have up to 3 attempts at this test .
This is a static deadlift of a weight , and you will have up to 3 attempts at this test .
As per the RAFFT , press ups to the number required depending on your age and gender .
As per the RAFFT , sit ups to the number required depending on your age and gender .

This test is carried out at the start of Phase 2 training only . If any individual part of the test is failed , the entire test is failed . Overall , three attempts are permitted at the entire test .
