RAF RESERVES ABROAD
As a Reservist you can anticipate being called up ( mobilised ) to assist with our operations worldwide at any time . You can be deployed to UK or overseas positions for up to six months at a time , during which you may be eligible for a pay award to ensure you are not financially disadvantaged . Operating Bases but you may end up anywhere in the world . Don ’ t worry , we ’ ll give you all the pre-deployment training you ’ ll need to successfully accomplish your mission ( this will require additional training time and may take up to six months ).
During your time away you could be travelling with your unit , filling in for another member of the
RAF AKROTIRI , CYPRUS
RAF , or working alongside Regulars and Reserves from other services and nationalities .
We will cover costs and provide advice and assistance to your family when you ’ re away . The maximum period you could be away from your employer is one year .
