IT’S ALIVE!
Most of us embrace the
use of nature in our role
as fitness professionals:
we try and take classes
outdoors, make the
most of the natural
environment when
training and make sure
our food and drink is as
fresh as possible.
Now our bond with the
natural world can
extend to what we wear,
as the latest advances
in breathable outfits
boast cell-lined flaps.
That’s live microbial
cells that sense when
the body is sweating
and signal to the
clothes to open flaps,
then tell them to close
when the body has
cooled.
While the designs are
yet to be widely
available, the chances
are you’ll be able to get
your skin on these
within the near future.
When you do, don’t
forget to be nice.
These clothes are
literally alive!
The ever-fascinating Journeyman Pictures have
introduced this intriguing device: the Bodytrak
earpiece - a continuous CBT, HR, VO2, speed,
distance and cadence monitor.
And, yes, you can play music through it too.
