MEET DIKSHA WAHI , RN ON RENOWN REGIONAL ’ S ORTHO / SPINE UNIT – TAHOE 3
Diksha Wahi
“ T3 is a great foundation unit that requires nurses to use their critical thinking skills . Lots of nurses go to the ER or ICU and find this a great place to start and get postsurgical experience . The reason I stay on this unit is because of the surgical population and because the leadership team and surgeons are great and never intimidating .”

MEET DIKSHA WAHI , RN ON RENOWN REGIONAL ’ S ORTHO / SPINE UNIT – TAHOE 3

About Diksha and her role on T3 : This unit sees mostly elective surgeries and overflow from GSU and other units . This unit prepares you to go into other units like ER , or the surgical unit or the OR . Diksha describes it as a busy unit that requires a lot of critical thinking . She has been on this team for 7 years because she loves her leadership team , including Luz Rodriguez who has been with Renown for 20 years ( 10 of which she ’ s managed T3 )! The team often deals with a multitude of wounds or ulcers , which she sees as an excellent opportunity to gain surgical experience .
What ’ s unique about T3 : “ I love the compassionate and understanding people on this team . They are flexible with scheduling ,” Diksha said when describing how she is currently participating in the Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Nevada , Reno .
