Surgical Services is comprised of multiple specialty opportunities and is a fun and rewarding place to practice .
• Pre-admission testing involves interviewing , testing , and educating patients before the day of surgery .
• Pre-op provides multidisciplinary care to all surgical patients encompassing all types of disease processes . This unit requires high attention-to-detail , collaboration , and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment .
• The intraoperative RN is a highly specialized position that also advocates for the patient undergoing surgery . It is also imperative they ensure the surgical team has the necessary supplies and equipment they need to facilitate an efficient surgery .
• The PACU or recovery room is a critical care area that serves all patient populations , covers the entire age span , and has multiple skill requirements to meet all service line needs . The PACU is a dynamic area presenting new and challenging situations daily .
• The Cath Lab is a procedural unit that provides multidisciplinary care and precision treatments to cardiac patients .
• Interventional Radiology , much like Cath Lab is a highly technical procedural unit providing interventions for patients with a variety of diagnoses and body systems . All the areas have the privilege of taking care of multiple patients throughout their workday as they perform procedures that transform and save lives .
