Relay is based around family and their hors-
es and we are now seeing teams teaching
their skills, horsemanship, and responsibili-
ties to the children as soon as they can sit a
horse. This summer HNIRC hopes to ad-
vance the knowledge of the young racers as
they compete in the Tour of Champions Sea-
son with their first race at Gillette, Wyoming
at the Cloud Peak Energy Tour of Champions
Season Opener 2018.
We look forward to seeing the returning
teams and newly formed ones as some will
be graduating to bigger horses, others will
get to experience the competition of relay
for the very first time, and there will be the
seasoned youth relay racers returning from
the previous year.
