TRAVIS MAGUIRE WINS Finals & BOTH YEAR-END CHIEF RACE M FOR 2017 ovie star, bull rider, father, chief, and relay racer—Travis Maguire, riding for O’kan Warriors, in the CIRRA Chief race 2017 Finals and Year-End Champion has followed his dream. He might be a bull rider first and foremost, win- ning many rodeos and attending the INFR seven times. At 14-years he got on his first bull and started riding at rodeos. The only injuries that he suffered are from riding bulls--with a torn triceps, broken ankle, and of course concussions. This coming year he plans to focus on his bull riding more, getting his Canadian PBR card, but is sure he will find time to relay, Chief, and Warrior race along the way. Travis spent two months on and off working on 6 the movie, “The Revenant,” based in part on Michael Punke’s 2002 novel, describing frontiers- man Hugh Glass’s experiences in 1823, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The movie even had him traveling to Argentina to work there. High on his greatest achievement’s though of course he is the proud father of 3-year old Kipp Jorren Kyzer Maguire, that will be turning four on July 6th. Nothing beats the time they spend together and the fun of watching him grow up. Maguire in 2016, traveled to the United States and was the only Canadian that competed at the Professional Indian Horse Racing finals in Billing, Montana in the Warrior race and did well.
