Born
and
raised
in
Kingston, Jamaica as the
last of 9 siblings in the
Morgan family, Ras Morgan
subsequently migrated to
Canada at the age of 17 in
1993. The move marked an
exciting new chapter in his
life so he focused on taking
advantage
of
the
educational and financial
opportunities that Canada
had to offer. His first love
was music however; therefore Ras Morgan never gave up his dream of
a career in music.
Although he has never released his own music prior to African Girl, Ras
Morgan has been involved in the Canadian Reggae music scene for
quite some time. He has assisted other well-known artistes and even
hosts a weekly radio show on rootzreggaeradio.ca. In 2017 Ras Morgan
decided to take his love of making music to the next level and by the end
of the year he had produced the single “African Girl” with an
accompanying video, which is currently trending on YouTube.

2018 is shaping up to be a very busy year for Ras Morgan as his
management team at Lady Boss Production has singles and EP
releases scheduled throughout the year, all in a strategic manner to
maximize on the artistic momentum. His next release is a lover’s rock
tune called “Take It Easy”, which is in the final stages of production and
will be released March 27th. The team plans to follow “Take It Easy” with
an inspirational and motivational tune called “Rise Again” in mid-April.
After allowing audiences worldwide to familiarize themselves with his
style, Ras Morgan and his team plan to drop an EP in May with two more
singles for the summer followed by an album at the end of the year.
Plans are also in the works for African and European tours as well. Ras
Morgan is highly motivated and ready to take the world by storm in 2018
