My wife , Vanessa , eventually convinced me to get everyone into a room together and tell them all the story of how I did it , and that is how the Wealth Masters Club was born back in 2003 . The rest , as they say , is history .
3 . What unique strategies or approaches have you implemented to differentiate from your competitors ? I noticed very soon that talking the talk is one thing , but walking the walk is another . The biggest problem I noticed with other speakers who were trying to change people ’ s lives was that they do not have the right team to support them and their product .
I saw a gap and decided that I wanted to create a full service offering by having a team of expert service providers who can ‘ walk the walk ’. I now have the honour of heading up a legal practice , an accounting firm , a property agency , and a host of other supporting companies who help our clients through every step of the way in their wealth creation journey . Our group now consist of 23 companies , all with a specific goal of helping members of our club to create , protect and grow their assets and wealth .
4 . Can you share a specific project or initiative you consider a turning point in your career ? What lessons did you learn from it ? It was quite simple , when my wife showed me an article about the Duke of Westminster which indicated he was the richest man in the world ( richer than Bill Gates or anyone else at the time ) it got my interest . They estimated that conservatively , he was 100 times richer than Bill Gates at the time . I spent a lot of time researching to understand how and why , and that ’ s where I discovered that he was the sole heir to a Property Trust that spanned 19 generations .
It was at this point that I decided to make it my life ’ s mission to find out and understand how they did it and how we could do the same here in South Africa with
