What did you do to celebrate when you published your first book?
My first book was BLOOD DRAGONS! I celebrated with a release party with my Rebel followers (which was a lot of fun!), then a meal with my family. As the book was inspired by my son, it was important we did something together.
What was the hardest book or scene to write and why?
VAMPIRE DEVIL is the third book in the REBEL ANGELS series. In it, Violet is dragged to the Under World and discovers her dad is Lucifer. The book wasn't hard to write but I plan an entire series before I write it. And I knew that there was a scene coming, which I'd been building to...which made me cry even while plotting it! That's an excellent thing from a writing point of view! So, I wrote this scene, whilst crying...but it's beautiful at the same time because it's about the power of hope.
Who are your favourite authors?
Jeaniene Frost, Shannon Mayer, Laurell K. Hamilton, Patricia Briggs, Jim Butcher and Anne Rice.
Which is your favourite cover of all your books and why?
VAMPIRE PRINCESS...although I love all my covers! This one though is so striking and magical. It shows ANGEL WORLD...where Violet is taken captive, before discovering it's no heaven. Her mother is the Matriarch, the queen. It shows Violet, transformed to princess and Commander Drake, one of the angels in the novel. Drake is powerful and predatory: pretty much the deadly version of the perfect angel. The cover captures that and is as dynamic, thrilling, and magical as the novel.
