Our hope is that the community will grow in such a way that we will have a continuing
open door to those who live near to us and also to all those who come to live in our
community from Chinese and other backgrounds. The wonderful work being done in the
Tamil community under the leadership of Issac Ganachandran, Graham Taylor and the
team is also such a blessing and soon we hope, God willing to have an African fellowship
meeting regularly – reflecting the heart of God for all nations (Revelation 7:9).
Our building program has been continuing on as a background to ministry this year. I
am sure we are all looking forward to the day the current works are finished, and yet
until we finish the whole Stage 3 project we cannot say the work is truly done. To finish
what has been started will need perseverance and miracles of God’s provision – but we
know we have a God who is able and as we call on Him He will provide all we need for
the buildings, our ministries and for our lives to be the blessing He has made us to be.
Special thanks to the building team and to Peter Beck who has carried the bulk of the
responsibility for the project with great grace. Please pray for Stage 3 to be fully
completed to the glory of God!
Prayer for all of our ministries remains our greatest need. As we call on the Name of the
Lord and ask Him for great things – He will answer! Each of us is equipped for all of the
good work that the Lord has for us to do (2 Timothy 3:17) as we have been focusing on
this year and I pray that you have been encouraged and challenged during this year to
find your place in the ministry and life He has for you. Each of us has a ministry but all
of us are called to love and to pray – so let us continue to call on Him who is able to do
more than we could ever hope or imagine – let us “Open wide our mouths that He may
fill them” (Psalm 81:10) with prayers for all the good things, the miracles and the ministry
He has for us to experience in this year ahead.
God bless
