In pairs, take turns asking and answering questions about what your family and friends are thinking
about, according to the illustrations, as you all prepare for a holiday dinner. Then, take turns
discussing how and with whom you celebrate your favorite holiday.

Interpersonal Speaking, Presentational Speaking
In small groups, talk about some things you are planning to do this year or at some other future
time. Be creative. You might also discuss what you think of each person’s plans. Then decide
what your remarks have in common. One student should take notes and report the results of your
discussion to the class.
MODELO
A: Este año yo pienso ayudar a mis padres en casa y leer cien libros.
B: ¡Qué bueno! Pues yo pienso viajar a otro país. Quiero ir a Venezuela en octubre.
C: Vas a necesitar mucho dinero. Yo pienso cantar con Shakira en un concierto.
