MLK Day of Service Honoring the legacy of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr ., the 2022 day of service comprised of both onsite and take home activities . Students in grades K-12 participated in , and learned about , service projects . Volunteers also organized donation stations benefiting local and community organizations .
Due to inclement weather , the 2022 MLK Day of Service was held in February .
Envirothon
PV High School teams earned 2nd and 4th place in the Montgomery County Envirothon Competition
Civics Exam
The newly implemented standardsaligned Civics Exam ( developed in compliance with PA Act 35 of 2018 ) was administered to all 8th grade students . Six students were recognized for earning a 100 % on the exam !
Hogwarts Academy Family Night
PV on Broadway
Cast members from the PV High School spring musical were invited to sing in New York City as part of a special Broadway Celebrates Earth Day concert !
Student Voice
During a fall event , titled Student Voice : Reflecting on Educational Experiences , high school students were given an opportunity to reflect on educational experiences , present information , and propose ideas for change . In addition to district leaders , PA State Representatives were in attendance .
LIFT
Music Award
NAMM recognized the PV Music Department as one of the 2022 Best Communities in Music Education - for the FOURTH year in a row !
Middle School East was transformed into Hogwarts Academy for one night in March of 2022 . Welcoming over 1,000 students and family members , the Harry Potter themed-night was packed with learning activities such as art projects , read alouds , escape rooms , science experiments , and visits from a snowy owl and other small creatures !
LIFT , Learning Is Fun Together , is a series of learning opportunities offered to students throughout the summer . Opportunities are offered for both remediation and enrichment . In summer 2022 , LIFT offered 47 classes and welcomed over 400 students !
