Cumberland Roots Coffee '— s food truck can be seen in many places about the area making sure folks have got a good cup of Joe to keep them on the go.
And they are knocking it out of the park when it comes to people pleasing beverages.
In fact, at a regional competition last year, they won top honors in a special category.
" I won the Kentucky Foodtruck Championship for Best Specialty Drink," said Brooke Gross, Cumberland Roots Coffee owner.
That first-place victory was part of the event which happens every year in Mt. Vernon at Renfro Valley, and was the fifth annual occurrence of the competition.
Brooke ' s winning entry was her signature Peanut Butter Cookie Latte, a beverage which some say has taken on legendary status in the region.
" It ' s something I wanted to do when I retired," said Brooke of her entrepreneurial venture.
" The ' Roots ' part of the name has to do with the property we bought and how many generations it goes back."
When Brooke and husband Matt Gross moved to the Nancy area of Pulaski County from Indiana in 2023, it was to get back to the familial roots. Matt ' s family had long owned a farm in that Western Pulaski
