Honey Baked Ham Food Truck
The Honey Baked Ham Company ' s owners here in Somerset, Jason and Kristen Henderson, have had significant success with their brick-n-mortar location in the Grand Central Place Shopping Center, and now are spreading awareness of their fine line of delectable foods well beyond their business ' s walls through their Honey Baked Ham food truck.
Some folks think of the holidays and special occasions when they think of Honey Baked Ham, a nationwide company which has been delighting customers since the 1950s.
However, Jason and Kristen have helped make it known that not only are their staple products, such as baked hams and turkey breasts, not just for the holidays but for all seasons and occasions, and they have also helped customers learn that Honey Baked Ham has a large variety of offerings for everyday dining at their store location.
Now the entrepreneurial couple are making it known on-the-go, taking their delicious wares straight to the people at large via their food truck.
" When they see our food truck now, they try it," he said, adding, " We are the only Honey Baked food truck in the whole country."
Jason said his Honey Baked Ham storefront restaurant is doing quite well, and he loves the location.
Now, since he has the food truck going, he ' s been able to get the deliciousness out to more people who may not have yet dropped in the store to try their extensive daily menu.
" The truck helps us reach other communities as well," said Jason.
The Hendersons have made fans of many a festival goer and event attender in this area as well as other spots around Kentucky. Their truck has been very popular at major area events such as the Master Musicians Festival, Somernites Cruise, and the Moonlight Festival, all three of which they also sponsor.
Jason said they also have consistently set up in London, setting up about once a month at various locations, and Danville, including at that community ' s hot air balloon show. They also have served folks at the Casey County

Apple Festival, and at the annual food truck competition in Mt. Vernon.
The Honey Baked Ham Food Truck has also been setting up at area schools to help busy teachers and other school staff make the most of their limited break time.
" Our claim to fame is we have a 30-second ticket time," said Jason.
Jason ' s secret weapon is an employee that ' s especially good at her work.
" Liza is the fastest sandwich maker I ' ve ever seen," he said.
He added that means teachers at schools and other busy folk at different events don ' t have such a long wait in line.
In addition to the tasty daily menu items the truck offers, Jason said folks can contact the store in advance if they want to purchase a ham or turkey, and they will bring it with them on the truck to the set up location.
Jason said they will post information about where and when the food truck will be set up as the year goes along.
Jason said the truck is working out well for the business.
" It ' s our brand on wheels," he said. " It ' s done an amazing job letting everyone know we aren ' t just for the holidays." He added that 6 out of 10 people haven ' t had a Honey Baked sandwich and some are unaware of the other menu items available, they just know about the company ' s hams.
He said that, with the truck, they can get out and about and show people all the great items available for enjoyment from Honey Baked Ham.
