In fact , Hart has been in charge of Spirit Fundraising for years , and owned the space next to that office . " This ( the venue space ) was just open , and we weren ' t utilizing it for anything except storage that we brought over here from our ( former ) candle factory ," Hart said . " It was too valuable of a space and had too much potential to just let it sit here . We knew there was a need for a venue that ' s not the rustic barn-type . So we pulled the trigger and started about the time that COVID was dying down ."
That means the
Magnolia has been in business for a little more than two years . On top of operating the venue , Hart said she also enjoys helping the people with their event planning , especially for weddings . " I ' m a people person and like to help , and some of these brides come in and they don ' know what they want , they don ' t know where to start ," Hart said . " I ' ve got two daughters that I ' ve had weddings for , and I ' m planning a big one for my niece in Atlanta , so it ' s fun for me . I enjoy it ."
Most wedding parties bring in their own people , she said , but the Magnolia keeps a list of vendors to recommend should they need help in that area .
No matter the event , Hart said she stays on
