with the Chamber in the late summer of 2011 , the local organization had nearly 400 members . At that time , the Chamber was going through a transition and was in need of needed some strong leadership .
" I always tell people that when I took this job , it took me a week just to find a password to get on the computer ," Clue laughed . " There was no one in the office , and it was just me trying to figure out what to do in this new position . I just kind of took it one day at a time and tried to figure

it out ."
SPEDA President / CEO Chris Girdler was a Chamber President when Clue took over in his new leadership role .
" It really is incredible to see the growth that has occurred since Bobby ' s arrival at the Chamber of Commerce ," Girdler stated . " Jack Keeney was a dear friend , I respected him immensely , and Jack did a wonderful job of growing the Chamber . We went through a real deep struggle once Jack retired from the Chamber of Commerce and before Bobby got

there . It was a very trying time where the Chamber was in a bad financial state .
" You had a lot of board members that were volunteering time and unlocking the Chamber office doors ," Girdler recalled . " They were volunteering time to answer the phones . Myself , Doug Parkey , Mike Chandler , Chuck Coldiron , Alan Anderson , Cathy Epperson , and many others were all volunteering time during that period until we got somebody in that role ."
Under Clue ' s

leadership , the Chamber started the Shamrock Shuffle 5K . Last Spring ’ s 12th annual event attracted over 600 participants and raised over $ 2,000 for scholarships for local high school students . The Shamrock Shuffle has become the largest 5K event in the Lake Cumberland Region and to date has attracted over 4,000 racers .
Other successful events under Clue ' s direction includes Future Leaders of Lake Cumberland , Leadership Lake Cumberland , Operation Beautification , Rise Women ' s Leadership Luncheon Series , Bus to Biz Community Partnership , Lake Cumberland Air Show , and the Young Entrepreneurs Academy .
Fourteen years later , Clue has led the local organization to new and greater heights . Last year , the chamber reached a staggering milestone with over 1,000
