1 . Give evidence of being a born again believer in Jesus Christ and of having a good Christian testimony among the parents , in their home churches , and in the community at large .
2 . Be a parent of a CCS student or alumni , or a teacher at CCS or a staff alumnus . 3 . Be willing to commit to the time needed to fulfill the duties of their offices .
4 . Have recognizable abilities needed to fulfill their offices and have a commitment to the Educational Philosophy of CCS and to the PTFA-Modified .
5 . Teachers may hold any office except President .
6 . A husband and wife may not both serve as officers of the PTFA-Modified unless they are sharing the same office ; a husband and wife sharing an office shall have only one vote .
7 . No officer shall serve more than two terms ( a single term equaling two years ) in the same office without a period of one year between terms . Exceptions to this rule must be presented to the School Board for approval .
8 . The nominations ( once they have been approved by the School Board ) will be distributed to the membership for their consideration at least 10 days prior to the meeting at which elections for the upcoming year will be held .
Vacancies in office shall be filled as follows :
The Secretary shall fill the presidency until an election can be held . A Nominating Committee shall be appointed by the PTFA-Modified officers and the Principal-Administrator , and an election will be held with due notice . All other vacancies will be filled on an interim basis as appointed by the School Board until the next regularly scheduled election .
FINANCES 1 . The PTFA-Modified fundraising objectives will always support the spiritual , academic , emotional , and physical needs of our students .
2 . The Executive Team and Head of School will approve special fundraising projects and activities .
3 . As part of its function , the PTFA-Modified annually selects a project or projects that deal directly with the needs of the students ( i . e ., playground equipment , computer software , computers , and library books ). These projects will be coordinated with the Head of School .
4 . A free-will offering may be taken at each PTFA-Modified function to help defray contingent expenses related to any given event as needed .
5 . A PTFA-Modified Scholarship may be awarded to one graduating senior each year based on essay submissions . The Executive Team shall oversee the process for determining each year ’ s recipient .
