Youth Council hosts successful Movie Night
The Port St. Lucie Youth Council ' s Youth Recreation Subcommittee successfully kickoff to its first outdoor movie night during Fall Fun Fest, featuring the Halloween classic, " Hocus Pocus." The event, which drew more than 100 residents, offered complimentary popcorn and water, while attendees engaged in a " Spin to Win " game, incorporating " Hocus Pocus " trivia and city-related questions.
Planning for this event began last year, with Youth Council members holding meetings to discuss movie selections, event cost, food arrangements, event layout and role assignments. Their collaborative efforts paid off, as they executed the event flawlessly and received positive feedback from the community.
City Manager presents update to Economic Development Council
City Manager Jesus Merejo was the featured speaker at the November meeting for the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County. It was a perfect opportunity to share the many successes the City has had in 2025, while looking to the future as well.
The City Manager shared a PowerPoint presentation that featured several videos developed by the Communications Department that helped tell the story of what the City has accomplished this year.
