T-Ball now has home at Lyngate Park After months of planning and anticipation, Lyngate Park, home to the American Little League, now proudly features its first-ever permanent T-Ball field. This long-awaited addition marks a significant milestone for the Parks and Recreation Department and fulfills a long-standing dream of staff and park-goers alike.
The idea was born from a desire to make better use of an underused area within the park and respond to the community’ s growing demand for dedicated T-Ball space. That vision became a reality in September when Parks and Recreation Director Brad Keen approved the use of operational savings to construct the field entirely in-house.
This new development not only enhances the park’ s amenities for the youngest athletes but also relieves pressure on the softball fields. Previously, T-Ball games were temporarily marked in the outfields of Field 2, rendering the entire field unusable for other play. Now, with a dedicated space, T-Ball and softball can thrive, side by side.
