Fitness class schedules updated The Parks and Recreation Fitness Team is happy to announce some fantastic updates to the fitness class schedule starting in October.
Through Oct. 31, fitness will introduce a new five-week series called Zumba Sentao, taking place at 9 a. m. Fridays at the Community Center.
Led by Reyna, this unique Zumba class incorporates the use of a chair for balance and toning exercises. Participants can expect a fantastic workout and rest assured, they will not be sitting for long. The chair will serve more as a dance partner than a seat!
Fitness also announces the return of the Cardio & Core class at 8 a. m. Tuesdays with Maria at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center. Participants can expect an easy-to-follow cardio workout, complemented by targeted exercises to strengthen their abs and back using mats at the end of class.
Additionally, because of an overwhelming demand for another Cardio Kickbox class, Fitness added a second session at 8 a. m. Wednesdays at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center. Taught by Gaby, the 8 a. m. class will be a fantastic way to kickstart the day and get energized!
Photography class comes into focus A new photography class will be offered in October. The class will meet on Saturdays. This outdoor beginner class is designed for adults who want to learn the basics of photography. Sessions will explore fundamentals, lighting, the exposure triangle, composition, manual settings and more.
