Celebrating together: All-America City event brings budget insights to residents
On Sept. 12, Port St. Lucie came together to celebrate its All-America City honor with a vibrant community event.
As part of the festivities, the Office of Management and Budget( OMB) team joined in to connect with residents and share helpful information about the City’ s budget. OMB Director Caroline Sturgis, Deputy Director Ivy Ladyko, Budget Administrator Christine Brown and Senior Analyst Myra Ugarte answered questions and distributed the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Proposed Budget in Brief.
Residents could learn more about how their tax dollars are being used, including details about the City’ s millage rate and TRIM( Truth in Millage) notices. It was a great opportunity for neighbors to celebrate civic pride while gaining a clearer understanding of how the City plans for the future!
