River Place Park refurbishments nearing completion River Place Park is taking shape as an exciting, refreshed community space inspired by the natural beauty of the St. Lucie River.
This refurbished playground features custom play elements that celebrate our local water life through themed surfacing and interactive play, creating an immersive river‐inspired experience for the whole family. The updated park will offer shaded areas, comfortable seating and two dedicated play zones tailored for ages 2 – 5 and 5 – 12. These spaces are designed to encourage creativity, exploration and safe outdoor fun for children of all ages.
River Place Park is becoming a vibrant destination for residents to gather, relax and enjoy a renewed connection to this already‐loved neighborhood park. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of September and teams are hard at work delivering an exceptional revamped playground to update the City of Port St. Lucie’ s parks inventory.
Summer recreation programs come to a close, while fall ramps up
We recently successfully concluded several of our new summer sports programs at Minsky Gym, including basketball and soccer mini-camps and the M & M’ s Sweeties Summer Camp sports sessions. This was our first year offering these programs, and they wrapped up smoothly. In addition, our summer junior basketball season also finished during this time.
Summer camp 2026 has officially come to an end at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center! We finished another successful summer filled with fun, field trips and lasting memories for our campers. We ' re now transitioning into fall and slowly beginning our upcoming programs, which include tot drop-off, cheerleading, homeschool PE and recreation, M & M Sweeties, Great Kids, soccer mini camp as well as pickleball and volleyball open play.
