Residents brought even more creativity to the pickleball and tennis courts by installing a custom-designed, wind permeable silkscreen that reduces noise and headlight glare while adding a splash of public art. Thirty five volunteers helped install the silkscreen and a new picnic table. Support from residents, the Port St. Lucie Youth Council and Bola Nation Pickleball made the event energetic, fun and highly successful.
Community spirit continued at the Whispering Pines Neighborhood Green Space, where 30 volunteers, including residents, Key Club members, the Youth Council, Adopt-A-Street participants and Naturally PSL volunteers, installed birdhouses, a sign and a community bench, accompanied by a special presentation from the Audubon Society of St. Lucie County. These efforts strengthen Naturally PSL’ s mission of preserving and celebrating Port St. Lucie’ s natural spaces.
Residents of the Villas of Windmill Point II came together to refresh their neighborhood entrance with four garden windmills, crisp lettering, colorful flowers and fresh paint. With help from All American Signs and Graphics, Nature’ s Keeper and Custom Welding Diversified, Inc., 16 volunteers created an inviting entryway that reflects the neighborhood’ s pride.
The month wrapped up with a lively bike safety event that welcomed more than 75 attendees. Volunteers installed new bike racks, while Public Works and the St. Lucie Transportation Planning Organization provided nearly 60 helmet fittings and giveaways. The Port St. Lucie Police Department donated 10 repaired bikes, distributed more than 50 bike locks and shared practical tips to help riders feel confident on the road.
