Procurement earns national award
The Procurement Management Department has earned the National Procurement Institute, Inc.( NPI) Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award for 2026. Since 2023, the City has maintained this procurement excellence for four consecutive years.
The Award of Excellence in Public Procurement recognizes organizational excellence in public and nonprofit procurement. It is awarded to organizations that obtain a high score on a rating of standardized criteria designed to measure innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership attributes of the procurement function.
In addition to NPI, the award also is sponsored by the Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials, the Government Finance Officers Association and NIGP: National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.
