Congratulations to the City ' s newest certified code enforcement professional
St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity home dedication
On July 1, the housing division attended a St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity home dedication in Fort Pierce for four deserving families. It was great to be a part of such a ceremony where families in need received keys to their new homes.
Neighborhood Services would like to congratulate Code Officer Melissa Huckstable for obtaining her Code Enforcement Professional( CEP) Certification through the Florida Association of Code Enforcement( FACE). This is the highest level of certification offered through FACE and only approximately 5 % of code enforcement officers throughout Florida have achieved this certification.
After obtaining the necessary required certifications through FACE, a code officer can obtain their CEP Certification by submitting a research paper that goes through a rigorous approval process identifying and dissecting a legal issue pertaining to the code enforcement profession.
