Public Works building skills for effective public communication
In a recent effort to strengthen leadership and communication skills within Public Works, several managers and leaders took part in an
interactive training session titled Strategies for Clarity, Confidence and Composure in the Public Arena.
The session was led by Kim Delaney, Division Director at the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, and focused on enhancing participants’ ability to present important updates and information effectively to both City Council and the public.
The workshop provided practical tips on delivering messages with clarity and poise, emphasizing the importance of confident and composed communication, especially when addressing large audiences or responding to challenging questions. Participants learned valuable strategies for organizing their presentations, engaging stakeholders and ensuring that their key points were understood.
