Last River Nights of the season attracts a crowd
It was a beautiful night at The Port District for the final River Nights of the season. A country duo played all the top hits from the ' 70s, ' 80s, ' 90s and today. Around 500 people enjoyed the music while sipping drinks and tasting food from our local food trucks. River Nights will pick up again in October.
Eggstravaganza a hopping good time!
Eggstravaganza took place on a perfect Saturday morning at Whispering Pines Park, with a light breeze and beautiful sunshine. More than 65,000 colorful plastic eggs, filled with candy, toys and a golden ticket, were hidden for the five different age groups.
Around 2,000 people attended and the eggs were collected in just a few minutes. The Student Perks group sold coffee and snacks throughout the event. After the hunt, Wendell the Rabbit made an appearance, posing for photos and waving at kids playing on the playground.
