Colt Schwerdt wins Professional Administrative Manager of the Year
Big applause for Colt Schwerdt, who was honored as the Professional Administrative Manager of the Year by the APWA at the annual Florida Expo!
Colt’ s exceptional leadership of the Public Works Department in one of Florida ' s most dynamic cities, has truly set him apart. His passion for inspiring his team shines through as staff tackles the critical tasks of planning, designing, constructing and maintaining the City’ s vital infrastructure, roads, bridges and essential emergency services.
With a diverse background in engineering, Colt has worn many hats, from project coordinator to city engineer. He stepped into the role of Interim Public Works Director in October 2023 and officially embraced the position in 2024. He’ s not just leading his team; he’ s also actively involved in the APWA Treasure Coast Branch and the Florida Engineering Society. Colt earned a bachelor’ s degree in civil engineering and architectural engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and has been a licensed professional engineer since 2014.
