City hosts town hall for Sawgrass Lakes
The City of Port St. Lucie recently hosted a town hall to engage residents of the Sawgrass Lakes neighborhood.
The event was designed to foster open communication between the City and the community, providing valuable updates on local projects and addressing concerns relevant to the area. Among the topics discussed were ongoing and upcoming initiatives that directly impact Sawgrass Lakes, as well as specific updates regarding the maintenance of the stormwater tract.
The City collected input from attendees, ensuring resident voices were heard regarding neighborhood priorities and challenges. The interactive format allowed for a question-and-answer session, enabling City staff to clarify information, respond to inquiries and engage with residents in the community.
This collaborative approach highlights Port St. Lucie’ s ongoing commitment to transparency and proactive engagement with its neighborhoods.
City hosts traffic-calming public meeting for SW Martin Street and SW Bargello Avenue
The City of Port St. Lucie recently invited residents to participate in a public meeting focused on proposed traffic calming measures for SW Martin Street, spanning from SW Santander Avenue to SW Medina Avenue, and SW Bargello Avenue extending from SW Savona Boulevard to SW Martin Street. The initiative is a proactive step in responding to neighborhood concerns about speeding and traffic safety, aligning with the City’ s broader commitment to creating safer streets for all.
During the meeting, staff presented a traffic-calming concept designed to reduce speeding and enhance safety. Residents had the opportunity to share their perspectives, provide feedback on the proposed solutions and voice specific concerns about traffic patterns in their area. This open dialogue allowed the City to better understand the needs of the community and gather vital input that will shape the final plan.
As part of the City’ s established traffic-calming policy, residents now are voting to determine if these measures will be implemented in their neighborhood. For more information, visit www. cityofpsl. com / trafficcalming.
