Paar Drive roundabouts public meeting
The City hosted a public meeting March 31 for residents to learn more about proposed roundabouts on SW Paar Drive at the intersections of SW Savona and SW Darwin boulevards. The roundabouts will help make this area safer and more efficient for traffic flow.
Roundabouts have been implemented throughout the City to reduce vehicle speed and enhance safety for pedestrians and bicyclists. The project includes roadway widening in the roundabout areas to accommodate potential roadway widening in the future for Paar Drive.
The project also includes landscaping, 12-foot concrete sidewalks, patterned concrete, improved drainage with curb and gutter system, pedestrian crosswalks, as well as roadway and pedestrian lighting. Additionally, the project will include 12-foot pathways that will improve safe access for pedestrians and cyclists along the roadway. The project is in the design process.
