Educating young students about Public Works
Emily Seitter, Capital Improvements Project( CIP) Administrator from the CIP and Sales Tax Projects Group, recently visited Jensen Beach Elementary School to participate in the Junior Achievement Career Exploration Fair. This event provided a valuable opportunity for Public Works to connect with young students and share insights about the department’ s vital role in serving our community.
During the presentation, students learned about the many responsibilities and projects managed by the Public Works, from maintaining City infrastructure to supporting public safety and community development. The enthusiastic engagement underscored the importance of educating youth on the diverse career paths available within public service and public works.
By interacting with local students, Public Works aims to spark interest and inspire the next generation to consider careers that make a meaningful impact. The department believes that nurturing curiosity and civic-mindedness at an early age helps build a stronger, more involved community for the future.
Public Works is proud to support programs that encourage young learners to explore new possibilities and take pride in contributing to the well-being of their city. We look forward to continuing these educational efforts and welcoming future leaders into the world of public service.
