City hosted public meeting for Bayshore Boulevard project More than 50 residents attended the recent public meeting to discuss improvements for Bayshore Boulevard between Prima Vista Boulevard and Selvitz Road. This was the second meeting for this project.
Attendees reviewed a four-lane plan that includes bike lanes and sidewalks. They also listened to a presentation, detailing how the project will address multi-modal needs and support traffic capacity and safety. In the design phase, the project has evaluated the corridor and collected data to create design documents.
The project will include a new modern roundabout at the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard and Floresta Drive. The design is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Construction of Commerce Centre Drive Asphalt Paving Systems Inc.( APS) will start construction on Commerce Centre Drive. This project will improve approximately 1,000 linear feet of roadway between the Florida East Coast railroad right-of-way to NW Reserve Park Trace. All operations will be completed during nighttime hours with a single-lane closure and flagging operations to safely manage traffic flow and maintain access through the project limits.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early February with an anticipated duration of 45 days. Variable message boards will be in place to indicate roadway construction in advance.
This project aligns with the City’ s Strategic Goal 5: High-Quality Infrastructure & Facilities by enhancing the safety of the critical roadway.
